It is a Tuesday afternoon, with me listening to Pandora radio (I recommend greatly for the times you don’t know what you feel like listening to) and completely flustered. It’s a habit of mind. Make that a BAD habit. I have always been reprimanded for not planning ahead of time and leaving everything for good ol’ Spontaneity to take care of everything. Advice for you readers out there: don’t follow my disarrayed footsteps. Something else that takes a lot of planning is of course, a child. Having and raising a child was never an easy task. However, it is possible to make it easier (easier is the keyword here) by having fun while planning. Stereotypically, it is the wife who enjoys planning the most, beginning from the color of the baby’s room and ending with the baby’s outfit of the day. But both parties can have fun picking out the baby’s crib, especially while imagining the newest addition to the world sleeping safely in it. Two cribs that are not only beautiful but also very safe (and that is the most important aspect of a crib, I’m hoping) are the Tulip Piccolo Classic Crib and the Tulip Leander Convertible Crib. These modern cribs will possibly mitigate the whole fluster of planning and the agony of anticipation just because of their quirkiness and ability to expand as your child does. Before I begin, look down and survey your apparel. Are you wearing green? If you aren’t give yourself a pinch from my side. If you are, well, pat yourself on the back for remembering the lucky of the Irish and their wonderful St. Patrick’s Day! St. Patrick’s Day gives a good excuse to be green with envy, and drink that extra mug of beer. But more than anything, green foods appear to be springing faster than the bushels of clover in my backyard (by the way, I still have never found a four-leaf clover, and I need luck more than anything now). I have to admit, though I am trying to be obedient with my healthy eating diet, I get that occasional (let me stress that occasional is an understatement) craving for decadence that usually appears in the form of brownies, cookies, cakes, sugar, sugar….and I know for sure that I am not the only one. Because, how else has the food-blogging community been able to be so vibrant? Just head on to foodgawker.com and you’ll see what I mean. Since I cannot eat those sugarcoated demons, I can at least gaze longingly, sometimes drool, at the amazing concoctions regular people whip up in their kitchens. So seeing how beautifully these thousands of bloggers present their masterpieces in photos, I was thinking of what they do with all of that food after they write the blogs on them. I can just imagine that they would call over their hungry friends and feed the deserving! If you happen to be one of those people who cook just for the fun of it and not for mere survival, I feel that it is necessary to present your food on cutlery just as beautiful. So all you regular hosts, listen up! Dining tables that can accommodate a large number of people and yet retain that homey sort of feel is perfect for you. Ladies and gentlemen! It gives me great pleasure to announce the arrival of…Spring! At least for some of us lucky west-coasters. For some of you, however, it’s a whole different ball game. But of course, every time I get that urge, I remind myself of the not-so-pleasant stares I would be receiving. Perhaps it is because I cannot carry a tune, not even in the shower. But thinking of Spring and all of its wonder it presents, I was thinking of something for the house to match the atmosphere. While I could be straightforward and mention some frilly and flowery product, I decided to be abstract, you know, go with my own flow and all the jazz.
