For the Bedding Effects!
|
The blog on bedding had me all glued to my email and all. Well, I guess I can’t agree more on it….you see! Designer Bedding is an important bedroom article and it makes sense investing in some of these things for sleep, comfort and durability. For quality, you still need to shed off some bucks….and that’s one way to ensure you brought the right thing back home….

On luxury bedding designs, almost everything seems to be in, colors are in, big floral patterns and retro patterns look cool and a blend— n—match theme works well…honestly, what the heck, I mean….just add some of those luxurious cushions, throw pillows and covers and theme it all up….what’s important is your creativity,…so work up something on your own to match the scheming, and you must take a look at these casual bedding sets that look sooooo cool……

The Pollen Bedding Set is what I mean by retro. Well, I guess every buck you pay is worth it. The reversible coverlet with hand-quilted patchwork with pure silk and…. the pillows and throw pillows are hypoallergenic and done well in cut-outs and embroidery, it’s all so good. The duvet coverlet has four great colors to choose from. The pillow filling is polyester and uses natural fibers to keep the dust away. Well named…Pollen….looks like the thing…like the picture puuuurfect on luxury bedding online.

If spluttered color is quite your idea of buoyancy, I guess you ought to check out the Dusk Bedding! The retro look is contemporary and aesthetic, and what I like is the casual warmth it allows to personalize a space. The set has a vibrancy you can’t miss! The coverlet uses silk jacquard. Plus, it’s easy on the pocket and uses all the right things like natural fiber, NO zippers and buttons, and is available in three sizes. And you sure like the wool embroidery on the pillows.

Then there is the Willow set, all calm and soothing. It looks quite stylish to me, with its duvet in linen border and embroidery. The blue is a perfect retiring color, and there are pillows and sham with patterned embroidery to light up the theme. It comes in three standard sizes….and I quite like wat I see…

Rome and Cinnamon!!
|
Sprucing up a neutral palette of colors in the bedroom may not be your idea of individual taste (unless you like it to the bone). I prefer injection of colors here and there, indirect accents that allow a fine shade to your overalls and the chemistry can be magical. Neutral beddings with purposeful color accents can help you add charms to otherwise dull bedroom furnishings. Home furnishings mean so much more these days….need to dedicate a sole post on the topic some day….

I am putting up a couple of beddings in line with the neutral shades; I guess retiring colors are best for beddings for they have a restful effect. It’s a good idea to go in with natural hues….earthy tones….like the Rome comforter set( a tone mod). Something close to my idea of relaxation, this Roman beauty can be set in a day. Includes a kind comforter, 2 king shams, I skirt, bolsters, 2 pillows and 3 euros. Love the blue contrast border against the chocolate brown…what about you..

Must also mention the Cinnamon set. The soothing set has rich choc browns with soft ivory accents. The oversized comforter deals with all bed and mattress sizes. What I like is the subtle effect that is immediately calming. The Polyester set is available in Taupe/Mocha….yeah it’s nice. The Image Blue is probably my favorite, and I love the squares on the comforter, the light shade of blue and the brown contrast otherwise. Available in standard king/queen size. Btw, the cording on sham and comforter is all in place( read wearability)…check dem up…

Saving the Foam
|
With little ones at home, there is a whole array of possibilities and new arrangements that open up. Something as simple as a foam mattress with covers can save a lot of time and provide comfort to the child. Here is a post on the practical aspects of beddings for little ones…

The Organic crib fitted pad is one such valuable bedding item for foam mattresses. The absorptive layers provide the right hold between the child and mattress. The two layers of cent percent organic cotton flannel maintain a moderate temperature that takes care of sweating and tackiness. And the best part , the pad is organic and does not use any of the allergens like latex, Phthalates or Vinyl/PVC. Daylight function and ease ….hmm…that’s exactly what I thought…

On other designs, the Organic Cotton Quilted Twin/Full foam Mattress Topper is just great. The topper is used as luxuriously quilted unit to allow great level of comfort for little ones. It is not water-proof though, and should be combined with waterproof pads. The surface and the filling are cotton, and the temperature control is just like adult quilts and covers. Available as twin/full mattress topper.

How could I miss the water-proof stuff for mattresses; the Organic Cotton Crib Flat waterproof Pad is lightweight and highly versatile. Under the sheet, it is convenient to change and travel with(being lightweight). And quite pleasantly it does not use the cumbersome vinyl, latex rubber that are heavy and quite not the thing(if you know what I mean). My baby just refused to sleep on one of them and I knew why when I once put it under our bed to see how it feels…? oh yes, the top and bottom layers are 100% cotton …so read no allergies…and no bulk…?
