The namez Sonoma, and there are three models…the entryway, the organizer and the console table. Like dem all. Admire the Entryway for its simple practicality. In home office, it can be used to stack stuff, at offices, use it as an open shelf and coat/hat/muffler hanger. Quite practical…I like the black finish better. I like the Console table for its immaculate features. Look it down as a useful unit at home and office. The best part is that the top can be used to decorate or simply as an extra table for handy work. The shelves and draws are roomy for some pouring stuff too.

The Organizer looks more like an open armoire. Nice concept. The top can be used to stack, the middle for hanging stuff and the big draw for mags. This one has more of a personal feel….do check up…

Modern Design in Taiwan for Guggenheim
|
A contrast from organic shape of Frank Llyoyd’s Guggenheim, this building reflects modern and contemporary design in 21st century. Vilnius Guggenheim Hermitage Museum is a proposed art museum in the city of Vilnius, the capital of Lithuania. Zaha had proposed a “mystical object, hovering over spindled artificial landscape strip”. She chose to draw a contrast between the building’s forms and the vertical forms of nearby skyscrapers, the top of the building prudently reflecting the backdrop of the Vilnius city. Hadid asserted that “It is especially important today to acknowledge cultural buildings, that they have unique and special morphologies. Those buildings should make an impression on people, people should accept them.” The dynamism and fluidity of the elongated form suggests an emphasis of movement through and around the building. Brilliant work.

Hong Kong Polytechnic University is known as the tentative “Innovation Tower,” Hadid’s 130,000-square-foot complex is made of two adjoining buildings, each with a jagged facade that looks and feels like the face of a cliff! Made of transparent but tinted glass, the curtain wall will be shielded in parts by polished metal louvers that suggest the effect of an ocean liner in shift. Located near the entrance to the city’s main cross-harbor tunnel, the $51 million project will be mostly funded by the local government and is expected to break ground by 2009.
